asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what timetable he proposes for the review of parish, district and county boundaries to be undertaken by the Local Government Boundary Commission.

The Local Government Act 1972 provides for the Local Government Boundary Commission for England to review the boundaries of all counties and metropolitan districts not less than 10 or more than 15 years after 1st April 1974.
