HC Deb 04 April 1973 vol 854 c94W
Mr. Lambie

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is his estimate of the amount of high cost subsidy that will be given to the Scottish Special Housing Association during the present financial year.

Mr. Gordon Campbell

From the estimates of costs and other relevant information available it seems unlikely that the payment of high cost subsidy to the association in 1973–74 will be justified.

Mr. Ewing

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will give an undertaking that the loss in rent revenue sustained by the Scottish Special Housing Association as a result of the standstill imposed by the Government will not be subsequently charged to Scottish Special Housing Association tenants in the form of higher increases in rents.

Mr. Gordon Campbell

Increases in the association's rents after the standstill period will continue to be restricted in accordance with the Housing (Financial Provisions) (Scotland) Act 1972.
