§ Mr. McNamaraasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is Her Majesty's Government's policy towards the wearing of para-military uniforms in Northern Ireland; and how many successful prosecutions against the wearing of the same have taken place in the past six months.
§ Mr. WhitelawThe policy of the civil authorities in this respect depends on the activities at the time of those wearing such uniforms. Prosecutions are a matter for my right hon. and learned Friend the Attorney-General, but I understand that none has been brought successfully during the past six months.
