§ Mr. Eldon GriffithsOne application for grant has been made by Hartlepool County Borough Council in the past two years in respect of the removal of oil from their beach. I understand that the council have since recovered these costs from an industrial undertaking so that no grant is called for. Grant is about to be paid to Hartlepool County Borough Council on the cost of purchase of reserve materials and equipment for beach clearance. Only one other claim from this authority has been received and that was met in 1969.
