§ Mr. David HowellBetween 1st July, 1971, and 25th October, 1972, there were 278 security incidents involving shooting or explosions on or in the vicinity of the border. Fifty-seven of these incidents involved persons crossing from the Irish Republic into Northern Ireland.
It would require a disproportionate effort to list and give details of these occurrences, but if my hon. Friend is interested in particular incidents I will write to him with details.
