HC Deb 25 October 1972 vol 843 c314W
Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many Scottish workers are known to him to be presently employed in West Germany; and, so far as it is known, what was the yearly flow of Scottish workers to West Germany in each of the years 1964 to 1971.

Mr. Dudley Smith

I regret the information is not available. The German authorities do not maintain statistics of the number of Scottish workers employed in Germany. During the first six months of 1972 the German Consulate General in Edinburgh issued entry visas to 588 people to work in Germany.
