Mr. Harold Walker

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what was the total amount paid out in benefits of all kinds arising from industrial injury and industrial diseases for the most recent twelve-month period for which figures are available.

The amount was £115 million in the year ended 31st March, 1972.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what was the total cost of administering the industrial injuries and industrial diseases benefits schemes during the most recent twelvemonth period for which figures are available.

The amount was £14 million in the year ended 31st March, 1972.
