§ Mr. Roy Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will make a statement about the recent collisions involving shipping in the Bristol Channel; and what steps are being taken to improve the safety regulations.
§ Mr. OnslowCollisions took place in Barry Roads on 20th October between the mv "Arcadia Wien" and the mv "Welsh Herald" and on 26th October between the mv "British Dart" and the mv "Daghestan". Damage was slight and there were no injuries. I have ordered inquiries to be made into these casualties and when I receive the reports will decide what action may be needed.
