HC Deb 24 May 1972 vol 837 c403W
Mr. Kilfedder

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will allow all the members of the Royal Ulster Constabulary to ballot on the question of colour and the tailoring of their uniforms before a final decision is made.

Mr. David Howell

No. The decision on the shade of green of the uniforms to be worn by male constables and sergeants was reached with the agreement of the Police Federation for Northern Ireland.
