HC Deb 24 May 1972 vol 837 cc379-80W
52. Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications whether he is now able to make a statement on proposals for a financial reconstruction of the postal services; and to what extent such proposals include a writing-off of loses and whether this will include the losses of £180 million incurred or anticipated in the five years ending March, 1973.

Sir J. Eden

Discussions with the Post Office about the financial position of these services are still in progress.
