§ Mr. AlisonIn the event of an outbreak of infectious disease my Department is given information by the World Health Organisation and passes this on to ports, airports, airlines, travel agents and other interested organisations, with up-to-date news and advice about necessary precautions.
Information is also given to the Press and other news media.
Areas where diseases are endemic are listed in the leaflet "Notice to Travellers—Health Protection", a revised edition of which is being printed and which is made available to intending travellers through local authorites, travel agents, airlines and other organisations concerned.
