HC Deb 24 May 1972 vol 837 c368W
33. Mr. Adam Hunter

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if, before he prepares the draft for the Scottish Local Government Reform Bill, he will visit the County of Fife to discuss the proposed changes affecting the county; and, particularly, if he will visit the localities which have expressed their opposition to the proposals.

Mr. Gordon Campbell

I visit Fife from time to time and during the extended period of consultations I and the then Minister of State had many discussions about the unanimous recommendations of the Wheatley Commission for the regional structure there.
