§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Lord President of the Council whether he will make it a practice of his administration to ensure that business commenced in the House of Commons shall not be postponed or adjourned by Ministers to enable them to attend European conferences, and that the normal business of the House of Commons shall have preference over conferences under the auspices of the Council of Europe or the European Economic Community so far as Ministerial duties are concerned.
§ Mr. R. Carr1 assure the hon. Member that Ministers will continue to carry out their full responsibilities with regard to the business of this House.
