asked the Lord President of the Council in view of the deterioration of the quality of the food in the Members' cafeteria, if he will take steps to improve it.

I have been asked to reply.

I cannot accept the hon. Member's view. The quality of materials has been improved, and there is now a wider choice of hot dishes. Steps are also being taken to redesign and re-equip the kitchens.
