§ Q8. Mr. Kinnockasked the Prime Minister if he is satisfied with the coordination between the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry and the Secretaries of State for Wales and Scotland on regional development matters; and if he will make a statement.
§ The Prime Minister:Yes. The White Paper on Industrial and Regional Development (Cmnd. 4942) makes it clear that the Minister for Industrial Development, under the broad direction of the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, will work in particularly close association with the Secretaries of State for Wales and Scotland.
