§ 57. Mr. William Clarkasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will introduce legislation to expedite the transfer of medical records from one general practitioner to another where the patient has been transferred from one list to another within the National Health Service.

§ Mr. AlisonRegulations already include provision for the transfer of medical records, but we hope to arrange in the near future for a trial by a number of executive councils of a revised administrative procedure to expedite transfers. Arrangements already exist for the immediate transfer of records which are required urgently by general practitioners.
