HC Deb 02 May 1972 vol 836 cc78-9W
58. Mr. Fred Evans

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what plans he has for improving the employment situation in the Rhymney Valley; and whether he will pay an official visit to the people of the Valley to explain his plans to them.

Mr. Chichester-Clark:

My right hon. Friend has no plans at present to visit the Rhymney Valley. The area should benefit from the extensive measures we have introduced to encourage industrial expansion, especially in the development areas, and secure sustained economic growth.
