§ Mr. DeanIn November, 1970, the latest date for which the requested information is available, there were 4,166,000supplementary benefit claimants, wives and other dependants. This represented 7.7 per cent. of the population of Great Britain in June, 1970. More recent information will become available towards the end of next month, when I will write to the hon. Member.
