§ Mr PeytonThe costs calculated for each grant-aided passenger service consist of its specific operating costs, provision410W for the long-term replacement and renewal of assets, interest on capital, an allocation according to usage of the costs of facilities and overheads used jointly with other services, and an appropriate share of administration cost. The revenue is that directly attributable to travel on the service itself. The balance is the deficit which is met by grant.
