§ Mr. HigginsAt the beginning of 1970 about 100 million 10s. notes of the final series and 160 million 50-penny pieces were in circulation. At the beginning of 1972 the figures were under 1 million and 195 million, respectively. There is no evidence that the number of counterfeits in cirulation is other than negligible.
