§ Mr. Bishopasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what progress has been made with regard to engineering design education, in the light of the Feilden Committee Report on Engineering Design, in the past year.
§ Mr. van StraubenzeeThere has been considerable and continuing progress in the field of engineering design education 193W since the publication of the Feilden Committee Report on Engineering Design. Engineering design is now widely available in a variety of courses at technician, degree and post-graduate level. Further progress in this field is, of course, primarily a matter for the education institutions themselves, and for the examining and professional bodies.
