§ 39. Mr. Edwin Wainwrightasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he is aware that the casualty department at the Mexborough Montagu Hospital has again been closed down due to there being no casualty officer available; and if, in view of the fact that this hospital caters for an industrial area, including several large collieries, he will take action to ensure that this casualty department is reopened as quickly as is possible.
§ Mr. AlisonI am aware that the department has recently been closed. It was reopened on 7th June to provide a daytime service on five days a week.
