BARONESS TWEEDSMUIR OF BELHELVIE

A Trading Agreement between Spain and the Community came into force in 1970. The application of this Agreement to the United Kingdom is governed by Articles 4 and 108 of the Act annexed to the Treaty of Accession. Negotiations between the Community and Spain, as described in Article 108, will take place shortly. We shall be consulted by the Community about the negotiating position.
