How many juveniles in England and Wales of 15 and 16 years of age were committed to detention centres in the years 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970 and 1971.

The following table shows, for England and Wales, receptions of persons under the age of 17 into detention centres by age and sex for the years 1967 to 1971. Receptions into the centre for females came to an end in 1968. Figures for 1971 are provisional.
