§ Mr. Pavittasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish in the Official Report the names of drugs which have been approved by the secretariat of the Medicines Commissions without undergoing any clinical trial in Great Britain.
§ Mr. AlisonThe question of approval is not for the Medicines Commission but for the licensing authority advised by the Committee on Safety of Medicines. Material furnished in an application for a product licence is treated as confidential and it would therefore be inappropriate to give information about trials undertaken in respect of any particular product.
