§ Mr. Ashtonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether, in relation to his power to revoke planning permission, he will investigate the circumstances in which planning permission was given for building on land next to Hillcrest, Barnby Moor, Retford, with access granted through the property of Hillcrest; why requests for an inquiry into this and the demolition of a protected Tudor wall have not been answered; whether he will satisfy himself about road safety in that area due to such access; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. SpeedAs I said in my letter of of 19th April to the hon. Member, this is not a matter in which my right hon. Friend would exercise any jurisdiction. Any further action would be well within the competence of the local authority.
