Q20. Mr. Fisher

asked the Prime Minister whether he intends to pay an official visit to Northern Ireland in the near future.

The Prime Minister

I have no immediate plans to make such a visit, but I shall not hesitate to do so at the right time.

Q24. Rev. Ian Paisley

asked the Prime Minister what undertaking he has given Mr. Lynch in connection with his having a say in any settlement reached in Northern Ireland; and if he will make a statement.

The Prime Minister

I told Mr. Lynch at the Chequers talks last September that as Prime Minister of Eire and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom I considered we were each entitled to raise and discuss matters which affected the relations between our two countries.

Q25. Mr. Maginnis

asked the Prime Minister if the Prime Minister of the Republic of Ireland will have a seat at the conference table on the future of Northern Ireland.

The Prime Minister

No. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland intends the conference which he described to the House on 15th June to be of the people of Northern Ireland.
