§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT a detailed statement giving the actual or estimated costs to the economy due to the miners' strike, taking into account the loss of coal, loss of industrial production generally, costs of power cuts, loss of exports, costs of unemployment and welfare benefits, the closing of pits and any other costs, direct or indirect, on a stated basis.
