HC Deb 18 December 1972 vol 848 cc269-70W
Mr. Neave

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he proposes to respond to the appeal of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees for funds for relief work in the Southern Sudan.

Mr. Wood

Yes, I now propose to make a contribution of £250,000 to this appeal in addition to the grant of £200,000 which was made available earlier this year to the Government of the Sudan. A supplementary estimate will be laid before Parliament in due course. Meanwhile, I am confident that this pledge will increase
