HC Deb 11 December 1972 vol 848 c37W
64. Mr. Frank Allaun

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if she will make a statement on her decision to approve two grants for non-capital projects totalling £6,757 for Salford under the urban aid programme and to refuse all other applications affecting the city.

Mr. Lane

I have been asked to reply.

In addition to the two non-capital projects to which the hon. Member refers, approval was subsequently given to two nursery classes, a play centre for primary school age children, the establishment of a volunteer bureau, and the employment of two unattached youth workers.
