§ 80. Mr. Clinton Davisasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Common wealth Affairs what discussions have taken place with the Spanish Government about the question of Spain joining the European Economic Community.
§ Mr. AmeryThere have been no detailed discussions on this subject. The Spanish Government have indicated to us their wish to strengthen their relations with the Community, and we have discussed how best to adapt Spain's existing trading agreement with the European Economic Community to take account of the enlargement of the Community.
