HC Deb 04 December 1972 vol 847 c329W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why, in view of the fact that the hon. Member for West Ham, North in his letter of 18th November asked for legal action to be taken against the police for notifying the Press of the cautioning of a driver for speeding, he sent this letter to the chief constable of the Thames Valley police.

Mr. Carlisle

My right hon. Friend received two letters from the hon. Member on this subject dated 18th November. Neither asked for legal action to be taken against the police.
