§ Mr. Kilfedderasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when he proposes to introduce a draft Order in Council which will re-enact and amend the rating and valuation system in Northern Ireland following the proposals for local government reorganisation; and whether it will include a rate rebate scheme on the lines of the scheme operating in the rest of the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. David HowellThe draft Rates (Northern Ireland) Order, 1972 was laid before Parliament today; it introduces a rate rebate scheme for dwellings similar to that already operated by local authorities in Great Britain.
