HC Deb 01 August 1972 vol 842 cc68-9W
59. Mr. John D. Grant

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what action he will take to assist in the resolving of the present dispute between the Post Office and the Civil and Public Services Association and the Society of Civil Servants which has resulted in various official strike action and an overtime ban being called together with a withdrawal from the Telecommunications Office Productivity Programme, by Post Office supervising officers.

Mr. Chichester Clark

The parties concerned in these negotiations have not asked for my right hon. Friend's assistance. However, I understand that an interim settlement has been agreed, industrial action has been cancelled, and the claim is to be referred to the Post Office Arbitration Tribunal.
