HC Deb 11 April 1972 vol 834 c164W
Q12. Mr. James Hamilton

asked the Prime Minister whether he will make a statement on his official meeting with the Scottish Assembly on 27th March.

The Prime Minister

In a two-hour meeting we discussed a wide range of issues affecting employment, industrial development, and public expenditure in Scotland. The representatives of the assembly recognised that many of the proposals included in its Charter were reflected in the Budget and in the White Paper on Industrial and Regional Development and that the measures the Government had taken would be of considerable benefit to the Scottish economy, particularly in the longer term.
