Mrs. Joyce Butlerasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will send a letter to local welfare authorities asking them to inform local electricity boards of families about whom they are concerned, so that suitable arrangements can be made to avoid cutting off the electricity supply when difficulty is experienced in collecting accounts from these families.

§ Mr. DeanDiscussions have been taking place between the Electricity and Gas Councils, the Association of Municipal Corporations and the County Councils Association, and officers of my Department, as a result of which we expect a joint memorandum of guidance to be issued shortly.
