HC Deb 11 April 1972 vol 834 c137W
29. Mr. Wingfield Digby

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services, in view of the feeling in Dorchester, Dorset, and district about the transfer of the casualty department to another less accessible centre and in view of the fact that 5,000 people have signed a petition opposing the transfer, whether he will take steps to set up an immediate departmental inquiry into the matter.

Mr. Alison

I have written to my hon. Friend on this matter which has been submitted by the regional hospital board to my right hon. Friend for his decision.
