HC Deb 30 November 1971 vol 827 cc90-1W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Lord President of the Council whether he can give an assurance that the Vote Office is adequately staffed to deal expeditiously with the increasing demands made by Members for Government Papers etc.; and, as there are to be some 1,500 rules, regulations and edicts issued in connection with entry into the Common Market, if he will appoint six extra staff to this office to deal with these papers.

Mr. Whitelaw

The staff of all the offices in the House are kept constantly under review. If an increase is necessary, extra staff will be recruited through the normal procedure.
