asked Her Majesty's Government:

What trade or Government delegations arrived from Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and the Andean Pact countries for talks with the British Government during 1971, and what agreements were reached concerning trade, investment and aid between the British Government and these delegations.

There were a number of visits by Ministers and officials, a list of which is appended. Opportunities were also provided for informal contacts with Her Majesty's Government by distinguished Latin Americans on private visits. Her Majesty's Government are always ready to discuss trade, investment and aid matters with representatives of foreign Governments, and continuing consultation takes place through Her Majesty's Embassies.
