What has been the range of rents payable in the Central London area for offices occupied by Government Departments since the date on which evidence was given by the Ministry of Public Building and Works to the Whitehall Inquiry in 1970.

The range of rents paid for new acquisitions during the period July,1970 to November,1971 was between £4.18 and £7.85 per sq. ft. Buildings have been offered to the Department in the range of £6 to £12.60 per sq. ft.
