§ Mr. McElhoneasked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) if he will detail in the OFFICIAL REPORT which authorities in Scotland have complied with Section 15 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act, 1970;
(2) if he will detail in the OFFICIAL REPORT which authorities in Scotland have complied with Section 8 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act, 1970;
(3) if he will detail in the OFFICIAL REPORT which authorities in Scotland have complied with Section 7 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act, 1970;
(4) if he will detail in the OFFICIAL REPORT which authorities in Scotland have complied with Section 6 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act, 1970;
(5) if he will detail in the OFFICIAL REPORT which authorities in Scotland have complied with Section 5 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act, 1970.
§ Mr. Gordon CampbellI do not have this information and the Act gives me no powers under which I could require it to be provided. Guidance has, however, been given to authorities on what they can do to implement Sections 5, 6, 7 and 8 of the Act.
§ Mr. McElhoneasked the Secretary of State for Scotland on what date he will lay before Parliament the annual report on research and development work in Scotland, as required under Section 22 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act, 1970.
§ Mr. Gordon CampbellI hope to present a report before the end of this year. I cannot yet give the precise date.
§ Mr. McElhoneasked the Secretary of State for Scotland on what date he will lay before Parliament an order to implement Section 21 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act, 1970.
§ Mr. Gordon CampbellA commencement order, which does not require to be laid before Parliament, was made on 6th September and regulations under the 331W Section were laid on 17th and 22nd September. The order and regulations will come into effect on 1st December.
