§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will cause an investigation to be made to ascertain to what extent revenue can be obtained with a view to increasing police salaries and pensions, and thereby increasing the police man-power, by enabling the police forces to establish security firms on a payment basis in competition with the private enterprise organisations in this field.
