§ Mr. Sillarsasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what is the total amount of Government money so far paid to the Upper Clyde Shipbuilders Receiver.
§ Mr. Ridley:Payments made to the liquidator of Upper Clyde Shipbuilders, Ltd. total £4 million to date, of which approximately £2.7 million is recoverable. The Government are prepared to make up to a further £1.5 million available to the liquidator as working capital, but no payments have so far been made.
