HC Deb 25 May 1971 vol 818 c54W
44. Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services why he will not seek to change the existing reciprocity agreements whereby pensions payable to former British citizens, and increases, are made where these persons are resident overseas so as to exclude such payments where these persons have publicly declared their object in leaving Great Britain is to evade the payment of British taxation.

Mr. Dean

Apart from any other consideration, such provision would be unworkable.
