HC Deb 04 May 1971 vol 816 c298W
38. Mrs. Renée Short

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if, in view of concern about difficulties in finding out information about contraceptive methods, he will carry out a publicity campaign, directed towards women especially, advising them to seek the help of their family doctor, health visitor, local family planning clinic, or hospital.

Mr. Alison

The Health Education Council recently carried out some Press advertising; they have conducted a poster campaign; and have produced a new leaflet on methods of contraception. They are considering the use of television for further publicity and will reach conclusions on this when the results of the family planning research sponsored by the Government are available later this year.
