§ Mr. William Wilsonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment why his decision on the Review Development Plan for the City of Coventry has been delayed; and when he expects his decision thereon to be announced.
§ Mr. Graham PageThe delay is mainly due to the controversial and complicated nature of the review and to the large number of objections and subsequent modifications. A list of proposed modifications was sent to Coventry City Council on 14th December, 1970, and additional ones proposed by it are being considered. I shall do what I can to expedite this but the statutory procedures must be observed and it would be misleading to forecast a final date.
