§ 46. Dr. Millerasked the Secretary of State for Scotland when he expects the Clyde Valley Planning Advisory Committee to submit its complete plan for the future industrial development for the west of Scotland.
§ 55. Dr. Dickson Mabonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he has yet received reports from the Clyde Valley Planning Advisory Committee and the West Central Scotland Plan Steering Committee concerning the need for new industrial development to offset job losses in the area.
§ Mr. Gordon CampbellThe Advisory Committee is still in existence, but I presume the Questions refer to the West Central Scotland Plan Steering Committee which I established last year. Its task is to prepare a strategic but flexible framework for the physical and economic development of the region. Completion of the plan is likely to take about two years, although there may be interim reports before then.
