HC Deb 16 March 1971 vol 813 c298W
Q21. Mr. Leadbitter

asked the Prime Minister what representations he received during his visit to Newcastle on matters for which he is responsible; and if he will make a statement.

The Prime Minister

Although this was not an official visit, I had the opportunity to talk to a number of leading local government representatives in the North-East about the problems of the area. I also saw Mrs. Linda Desramault who discussed the legal problems relating to the custody of her daughter. I assured her that Her Majesty's Embassy in Paris would give her and her lawyers all possible advice and assistance.
