HC Deb 16 March 1971 vol 813 c263W
32. Mr. Crouch

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether the charts issued by the Department of Health and Social Security illustrating the comparative costs of medicines are used by regional medical officers when visiting National Health Service doctors to discuss their prescribing; and what instructions are given to regional medical officers concerning their use of such charts during such visits.

Mr. Alison

It is left to regional medical officers to decide what use to make of these charts when discussing prescribing matters with general practitioners.
