HC Deb 16 March 1971 vol 813 c289W
Mr. McGuire

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services, how many claims for Industrial Death Benefit have been disallowed where death has been caused by prolonged exposure to ethylene glycol dinitrate and to nitro-glycerine; and what amount of money has been saved as a result of these claims being disallowed.

Mr. Dean

I regret that this information is not available. I do not know of any case which has come to the attention of my Department in recent years where death was alleged to be due to such exposure.
